OUR GENERATION™ · WHY US

A strong foundation
begins with belonging.

Choosing child care means choosing the people and experiences that help shape your child’s world.

Our Generation™ is built around a simple belief: children deserve to feel safe, seen, valued, and understood. That belief guides how we approach learning, relationships, and partnership with families.

What guides our care

The little moments
are the meaningful ones.

Our humanistic, play-based approach values emotional and social growth alongside early learning. We pay attention to the relationships and everyday experiences that help a child feel connected, capable, and curious.

01

Connection comes first

Trust grows through warm interactions, familiar routines, and adults who take time to understand each child. Belonging is part of the foundation for learning.

02

Big feelings deserve care

We see behavior as communication. Our approach asks what a child may need and makes room for naming feelings, practicing coping skills, and learning with patient guidance.

03

Learning has room to unfold

Meaningful play invites children to explore ideas, ask questions, build language, and discover what they can do. We value their interests and individual pace.

04

Families belong here, too

Your knowledge of your child matters. Shared observations and honest conversations help families and educators understand one another and support a child together.

A childhood full of discovery

Room to wonder.
Confidence to try.

Learning lives in everyday moments: pouring, building, asking a question, trying again, or finding the words to join a friend.

Play & exploration

Hands-on experiences make space for curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving.

Movement & mindfulness

Our vision includes movement, yoga, and opportunities to pause and notice feelings.

Everyday independence

Practical experiences, including cooking, invite children to practice skills and discover what they can do.

Language & connection

Stories, conversations, and friendships help children express ideas and understand others.

Program details and class options can be discussed with our team as you plan for your child.

Families are part of the experience

A community around
the people raising children.

Raising a child brings questions, changes, and moments when connection matters. We want families to feel comfortable asking for support, sharing what they notice, and being part of the conversation.

Our vision for the Collective Café is a welcoming space where parents can pause, connect with other families, and strengthen the sense of community around their children.

Because the adults who care for children deserve connection, too.

The foundation we are building

Understanding that grows
beyond the classroom.

Our vision for Sincerely Ours — Setting the Foundation brings families and educators together through shared observations and a deeper understanding of children’s growth.

We are also working toward educator preparation and the future Our Generation™ Foundation, with a goal of bringing multidisciplinary support into child care centers and schools. These are plans we are building toward as our community grows.

Welcome to Our Generation Child Development Center

Where children are not just cared for—
they are seen, heard, and deeply valued.

At Our Generation, we believe something simple, yet transformative:
when a child feels safe, they begin to thrive.
When they feel valued, they begin to believe in themselves.
And when they believe in themselves—learning becomes limitless.

A New Standard of Early Childhood

This is more than a preschool.
This is a foundation for life.

We have thoughtfully created a space where:

  • Social-emotional development (SEL) is just as important as academics

  • Mental wellness is supported, not overlooked

  • Confidence is intentionally built—not expected to just “happen”

  • And every child is guided at their own pace, in their own way

Through a play-based, humanistic approach rooted in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, we nurture the whole child—emotionally, socially, and academically.

Because we know:
a regulated, secure child is a child ready to learn.

Where Families Are Part of the Experience

We don’t just support children—
we support families.

Our unique Parent Collective Café creates space for connection, reflection, and belonging.
A place where parents can:

  • Pause, breathe, and feel supported

  • Build community with other families

  • Access resources that strengthen the home-to-school connection

Because raising children was never meant to be done alone.
Here, you are part of something bigger.

Mental Health Matters Here

What sets us apart is what we choose to prioritize.

Our model includes:

  • Trauma-informed, emotionally intelligent educators

  • Access to on-site mental health support and guidance

  • A team that understands behavior as communication—not defiance

We don’t ask, “What’s wrong with this child?”
We ask, “What does this child need?”

Confidence. Identity. Self-Actualization.

Our goal is not just kindergarten readiness.
Our goal is to help children grow into individuals who:

  • Trust themselves

  • Express themselves

  • Understand others

  • And move through the world with confidence and compassion

Because this generation deserves more than education.
They deserve alignment, purpose, and a strong sense of self.

This Is Our Generation

A generation raised to feel safe.
A generation taught to belong.
A generation empowered to become who they are meant to be.
